My name is John E. Groberg. At the time of this writing, I am 40 years old. I am happily and luckily married to a wonderful wife, Beverly. Together we have 5 beautiful children- 4 boys followed by one baby girl. We currently live in Mesa, AZ.

I was raised in Idaho, Hawaii, and Utah, but have lived my adult life so far in California and now Arizona. I come from a large family of 11 children. I am #6 in that lineup.
I am a self employed entrepreneur. I love creating things that make a positive difference. My working career has so far been mostly in commercial real estate. I am currently developing several commercial projects in Utah. I love developing real estate, but even more than that, I love "developing" people- first and foremost myself.
I am an avid reader of books in the "self-improvement" or "human development" field. I love to learn how life works- not just through reading books- but through experimenting with the principles and practices in my own life and seeing what happens. I have read scores of books in the arena of human development. I have read and studied many of the world's most sacred texts, I have subscribed to newsletters of "experts", listened to many audio books, taken courses in person and on-line, done personal coaching, and taken part in "mastermind" groups. I have become a practitioner of yoga and meditation. I have tried all sorts of "conventional" and "alternative" health and wellness products and services- including acupuncture, rolfing, lymphatic ultrasound therapy, iridology, hair mineral analysis, food allergy testing, biofeedback, brain entrainment technologies, bio-electrical screenings, and even colonics. Why have I done all this (and continue to try new things)? Not because I am sickly, or lost, but because I am genuinely curious to find out for myself- through my own direct experience what really works for me. I am driven to explore and discover not just to benefit me and my family, but because I feel I have a calling in life to be an instrument of clarity and empowerment to help others all over the world more effectively discover their own True Self. So it is my hope that this site will help to serve that purpose.
I am not some enlightened being that has completely transcended the ego and operates continually out of pure loving kindness- but I will unabashedly state that such is my desire and I am motivated to make progress towards that end. So this site is really about my own process of Self discovery. As I learn things that help me, I'll write about them. As I find products or services that really make a difference, I'll recommend them. I'm hoping that this will also become a collective of experience as others who find themselves on this same path of Self discovery comment and contribute to the discussion. I invite you to join in the discussion and contribute your experience and I promise that you will benefit from helping others in this way.
This is not a religious site- in that any specific religion is promoted. It is a spiritual site in that I deal with things of Spirit. It is also a practical site that deals with the health and wellness of the physical body and the health and wellness of the mind. It will also deal with important issues like happiness, meaning, peace, love, relationships, money, service, and more- the real "stuff" of life as I see it and the journey we all are here to make.
In the interest of full disclosure, I am a religious person- I am active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (aka "Mormon"). I love my religion, but I am not trying to promote it in this site. I believe that the truth of the subject matter that I deal with in this site are self-evident in that you yourself can experience the truth through your own experimentation just as I have done and continue to do. The subjects I deal with here transcend, but include all religion-and when understood will help you to better understand and appreciate your own religion- whatever that is- as well as all other religions. Many of the "experts" in this field of human development see religion as a relic of the less enlightened past, something that should be thrown aside in favor of a more unstructured "spiritualism". I do not agree. I think that religion can be one of the single most important positive influences in our lives and has been so in our history as human beings. I believe that becoming more "spiritual" doesn't necessitate casting off religion, but rather deepens the religious experience and can make you a better practitioner of your religion.
A small disclaimer: I am busily engaged in running several businesses while doing my best to help raise 5 children with all that entails, and, as mentioned above, active in my own religion, so this blog will probably not get daily attention. But as I am inspired, I will add posts that I feel might be helpful to you because they're helpful to me.
So here is the birth of a new idea- I can't wait to see where it goes!
John
